Son of the legendary Terry Fitzgerald (Hot Buttered Surfboards), Joël drew his own lineinfluenced by the roots of Australian surfing and the fluid manoeuvres of the free surf. Every surfboard by Joël Fitzgerald is a work of art: pure lines, sharp tailharmonious tracks and rocker designed for carvingwith a philosophy deeply rooted in soul surfing.
His arrival at the new Shapers Club workshop of 1800 m² in Marennes d'Oléron (a stone's throw from the best beach breaks of the Atlantic coast) is in keeping with the spirit of innovation and sharing fostered by UWL Surfboards since the 90s.

Throughout his residency, Joël offers a personalized shaping service. Each surfer will have the opportunity to talk directly with him to design his ideal board: from the fish retro to longboard nose riderthrough to the manageable hybridsor even guns designed for the biggest swells.
You will be able to observe the manufacturing process: foam loaf, stringer, stratification, tinted resin... Everything is done by hand, with passion, integrating eco-responsible materials to stay true to sustainable surfing.
