This summer, the Marennes Shapers Club welcomes an unusual guest: Joel FitzgeraldAustralian shaping legend, will be in residence to shaper a very limited series of hand-crafted boards. This is the perfect opportunity to order your made-to-measure board, shaped directly by his handsin the heart of the EPV workshop.

🌊 An encounter with the authentic shape

Son of the mythical Terry "Sultan of Speed" FitzgeraldJoel grew up between North Narrabeen and Bali, in his family's Hot Buttered workshop. Today, his shapes brilliantly blend classic 70's lines and experimental design, in a free, fast style, always at the service of flow.

With Joel, every board is a work of art. He shapes by hand, surfs his creations in the Indo tubes, and follows only intuition, feeling and the pleasure of pure gliding.

🤝 An order, a collaboration

Ordering a board during your residency at Marennes means experience a real encounter with a shaper who listens to you. You choose your model or you start from a blank page:

  • Twin fins nerveux as the Space Hawk or the Zi Twin
  • Fast mid-lengths as the Sea Gypsy or the Cosmic Twin
  • Single fins stylés, committed guns or daring hybrids

Each board is signed, numberedand shaped on site, in the Shapers Club workshop, which has been awarded the Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (Living Heritage Company) label.

Step 1 - Fill in the form on shop.shapersclub.com or visit us in Marennes during the residency.
Step 2 - Meeting with Joel to define the shape, ribs, finishes and shades.
Step 3 - Payment of a deposit to secure your place in the limited schedule.
Step 4 - You can follow the shaping steps and pick up your board at the workshop. Or have it delivered, of course.
